Two spice blends are better than one!

While this dish comes out of our Special Blend cookbook, it's still a Southern favorite and even has a little bit of Italian flair!

Louisiana Red Sauce Over Linguine

Serves 6

2 (15 ounce) cans tomato sauce
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
4 tablespoons Olde Westport Garden Harvest Special Blend
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup medium dry white wine
1 tablespoon brown sugar
16 ounces heavily smoked sausage or ham
1-2 teaspoons Olde Westport Sizzlin' Sunset Cajun Blend
1 (12 ounce) packaged uncooked linguine, cooked to package directions

Add tomato sauce, vegetable oil, Olde Westport Garden Harvest Special Blend, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, white wine and brown sugar into 6-quart soup pot. Bring mixture to a boil over medium heat stirring occasionally to avoid sticking. Lower heat and simmer 15 minutes, uncovered. Cut up sausage or ham into bite-size pieces and add to sauce, stir. Adjust sauce to taste with Olde Westport Sizzlin' Sunset Cajun Blend. Simmer an additional 10 minutes. Serve Louisiana Red Sauce over hot cooked linguine.
