End July with a Fantastic Cornbread Recipe

There's nothing like cornbread to complement a meal! However, we are giving you our recipe for green chile cornbread.. While you may not have tried it before, we guarantee you'll like it! This recipe serves 12.

Three Rivers Green Chile Cornbread 4 large eggs, lightly beaten 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can cream-style corn 2 (4 ounce) cans diced green chiles (1 cup) 4 tablespoons dark brown sugar 1 teaspoon salt (optional) 1 (2.75 ounce) package Olde Westport Chile Verde Mix (1/2 cup from 22 ounce package) 2 (8.5 ounce) packages Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix

Lightly oil a 9x13 inch baking dish. Add first 6 ingredients into a medium-size bowl, stir until blended. Add muffin mix, stir. Spoon cornbread into oil baking dish, bake in a 350-degree oven for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick or knife inserted in center comes out clean (will have a little left on it), and lightly browned around edges.
