Green Beans with Bacon and Tomatoes

Serves 12

1 (16 ounce) package thick-sliced bacon, sliced crosswise
1 small red onion, chopped (1 cup)
3 (12 ounce) packages frozen cut green beans
1 (28 ounce) can petite diced tomatoes, partially drained
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
4 teaspoons Olde Westport Gold Coast Garlic Shake
1 (16 ounce) can small red beans, rinsed and drained

In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat to desired crispness, stirring occasionally. Remove with a slotted spoon, drain on paper towels. Reserve 2 tablespoons drippings, add onion, cook and stir over medium-high heat until tender. In a 4 quart slow cooker, combine green beans, tomatoes, brown sugar, Olde Westport Gold Coast Garlic Shake, bacon and onion. Cook, covered, on low 4 hours. Stir in red beans. Cook 30 minutes longer or until heated through.
