Easy Salisbury Steak

Toasted Onion-Easy Salisbury Steak

Serves 4


1 (10¾ ounce) can 98% fat-free cream of mushroom soup
16 ounces 90% lean ground beef
¼ cup unseasoned finely crushed dry bread crumbs
½ cup finely chopped onion
1 large egg, beaten
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
¼ cup 1% milk
1 tablespoon Olde Westport Toasted Onion & Pepper Shake®


In a large bowl, blend 2 tablespoons soup, ground beef, bread crumbs, onion and egg. Form meat into 4 oval shaped patties. Heat oil in a 10 inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties until lightly browned on both sides. Remove patties, add remaining soup, mushrooms, milk and Olde Westport Toasted Onion & Pepper Shake®, stir. Bring to a gentle boil, lower heat, place patties over sauce. Spoon a little sauce over patties, cover, simmer 20 minutes or until heated through and no pinkness to centers of meat. Serve with sauce spooned over meat.
