Miss Lil’s Home-Style Spaghetti And Meatballs

Ingredients:

3 (16 ounce) cans whole tomatoes, undrained
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
6 ounce can water
2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
½ cup Olde Westport Antonio’s Italian Spice Blend®
1 (16 ounce) package spaghetti (uncooked)

Directions:

Prepare meatball recipe below. Meanwhile, mix all above ingredients, except spaghetti, in 6 quart heavy sauce pan. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Lower heat and simmer, stirring occasionally. Carefully add cooked meatballs to sauce being careful not to break up. Cover and simmer 20 minutes longer. Prepare spaghetti to package directions. Arrange hot cooked spaghetti on plate, top with meatballs, spoon sauce over all.

Meatballs

1½ pounds ground beef
¾ cup dried bread crumbs
½ teaspoon garlic-granulated
⅓ cup milk
2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese-grated
1 large egg, beaten
½ teaspoon salt
⅛ teaspoon each cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg
2 tablespoons oil

Mix all ingredients except oil. Shape ground beef into 1 inch meatballs. Heat oil in large skillet. Cook meatballs over medium heat until browned, drain on paper towels.
